WHAT IS BIOENERGENICS?
BioEnergenics is a highly effective equine therapy technique which focuses on the skeletal as well as the muscular and neuro system of the horse. This unique approach combines methods, including acupressure, trigger point therapy, and physical imbalances. This innovated technique has proven especially beneficial for equine athletes with demanding performance schedules. This completely natural therapeutic method is safe, painless and drug free.

HOW DOES BIOENERGENICS HELP?
This advanced therapy can relieve your horse of strain, body soreness, and stiffness that are acquired in any discipline of the equine sports. Cherie Hecht provides many forms of Equine bodywork including:

-Stress point release

-Bioenergies technique

-B.E.S.T  (Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique)

-Acupressure

-Electro-acuscope therapy
B.E.S.T. (Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique) is based on scientific principles utilizing light pressure contacts on the surface of the body to address parasympathetic and sympathetic imbalances. When expressed in the intrinsic muscles of the spine as a Chiropractic Subluxation, pinched nerve, or muscle spasm, this pattern of imbalance can lead to symptoms of discomfort and loss of function throughout the entire body.  Physical B.E.S.T. offers a non-force way to update patterns of stress and discomfort which have been surfacing in both acute pain and chronic conditions.  The physical B.E.S.T. procedure is administered by  palpating the spinal muscles, and subsequently holding pressure points along the spine, sacrum, and skull.  When muscles are balanced and the updated pattern restored, spinal muscle spasm, vertebral subluxation, and nerve pressure are removed.  Patients/clients often experience immediate relief from symptoms and completely enjoy the painless approach to health and wellness.
Acupressure is an ancient healing art originating in China about 5000 years ago. It is based, as is acupuncture, on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), only that instead of using needles, it is applied with fingers. It is used on humans as well as animals; in this case, the horse.

Acupressure can be used as a preventative measure by maintaining an energetic balance in your horse. A balanced horse is a healthy horse.  Acupressure can also be used to help solve existing problems and accelerate recovery from injuries. It can also help in what may seem to be performance or behavioural problems, when in reality the horse is manifesting pain. By massaging or working points releasing energy blockage along specific energetic pathways called meridians, your horse can be kept healthy, flexible and happy.

Stress point therapy consists of 84 points throughout the body. When the stress point is addressed the horse may have a pain reaction indicating that there is an issue in that specific area. The pain can be alleviated by direct pressure, cross fiber friction, and acuscope point work which allows the body to obtain normal range of motion and movement.
Electro-Acuscope & Myopulse
The Acuscope is a microcurrent instrument that uses electricity to stimulate the nervous system of the body without puncturing the skin in any way. It gently stimulates the muscles, tendons and ligaments, reduces spasm and inflammation, and strengthens tissue damaged by accumulative or traumatic injury.
