It is with complete satisfaction that I recommend Cherie Hecht of Bioenergenics. I train barrel horses and give barrel racing instruction to others for a living. I liken barrel horses to human athletes. You don't see highly functioning athletes without preventive bodywork, maintenance work, and injury management. Our horses cannot be asked to perform at their peak ability without doing the same for them. Cherie has the ability to prevent, maintain, and manage as our horses prepare for and work in competition.
One of the first rules of training is to make sure your horse is comfortable and able to work as painfree as possible. The acuscope's biofeedback is a unique tool for determining what areas of a horse's body may be experiencing trouble before it shows up in the horse's movement. Also, by having our competition horses checked and adjusted as needed, we can prevent muscle memory from building a poorly held body frame.
When our horses are doing well, the acuscope is a great tool to keep them that way. Pre and post race treatments allow our horses to work more fluidly. Often times, treatments before a race can mean a difference of a few tenths...which in barrel racing can mean winning or losing.
Unfortunately, despite the best of care, there are occasional injuries in our sport. The acucope speeds healing, reduces inflammation, and gets these horses back to work more quickly than any other treatment I've experienced. It is not a band-aid treatment like a lot of therapy out there. It targets the specific areas of injury and sends that area what it needs for healing to take place. It is safe, inexpensive, and hugely affective.
In short, I am a skeptic of many therapy systems available. I have to be sold on my own experiences. After watching horse after horse respond to this treatment, I can confidently say that Cherie's program works. Cherie's insight about how a horse's body works coupled with her own competition experience makes her a valuable addition to our program.
"My daughter has an eleven year old jumper named Junior. He became increasingly reluctant to jump a fence and no one could figure why this fun loving, cooperative guy was stopping so badly. We were heading out of town for two months and decided to take him with us. When we got to Phx, Cherie mentioned the Acuscope and all the benefits of its diagnostic features and well as it’s ability to aid the healing process so I said hey we’re in. Sure enough Cherie was able to find a muscle in Junior’s hind end that was VERY sore and began to work on him. After 5 treatments he was back to his old, eager self. So glad we hauled that horse on vacation with us."

"Thank you so much Cherie for making my horse sound of mind and body. There's not a vet around who could have tuned in to Walter and his ongoing energy and chiropractic needs. Cherie has the unique ability to zero right ithe root of the problem. Without Cherie's patience, knowledge and thinking outside the box I'd still have chronic sore and uncomfortable horse that would have left me totally frustrated. Since taking your class I now have some basic tools to keep my horse healthy and have a whole new understanding of the mind and body connection. Bioenergenics is an absolute part of your horses health, as important as clean water and fresh hay. The evidence is in every horse that pricks their ears forward and eagerly waits their turn for Cherie to make her way to their stall."

"I am having a tough time writing this testimonial. How do you convey in two to three paragraphs everything that Cherie Hecht has done for my horses and myself. To give a true sense it would take a book.
I am a barrel racer, I ask a lot of a horse. My mare was not able to hold her shoulder together. I had X-rays done, and everything seemed normal. Her times in barrels were getting worse, and her behavior at the gate was bad. Refusing to go in, and throwing a fit. My farriery suggested Cherie. I agreed that it was worth a shot. It was amazing to watch. My horse, Sonny’s Diamond Doll, aka Rio, is afraid of her own shadow. So when Cherie lifted her mallet and pin for the first time, I thought to myself “oh this ought to be good, Rio is going to jump thru the roof”. But much to my surprise my horse let a huge sigh and dropped her head. There was no question about it; Cherie did something to that horse that day that made a huge difference. I was sold on her. For about a year Cherie came out at least once a week and sometimes two or three times.
In 2005 Rio and I placed at 93% of the shows we attended. We placed first 89% of the time. What professional human athlete do you know that has done that? AMAZING. We won two saddles, three buckles, lots of tack and enough money to pay all her entry fees, and feed for the other four horses in the barn. We were District champions for NBHA. We qualified for State finals, Regional finals, and the World finals. I owe all this to Cherie. She is the most important part of our support team.
When I tell Rio that Cherie is coming her ears perk up and she starts looking for her. She loves Cherie. Cherie has worked on all my horses and dogs. They all love her. I really do not know what we did before her.
It does not stop there. Cherie took an interest in how I was feeding. And together we devised a feeding program that works for all my horses. They have never looked and felt better. She also helped me figure out why Rio was having the problems with her shoulder. Now we have a new saddle that fits her and does not interfere with her shoulder. But Cherie did not stop there. She also took an interest in me. She recommended a product called Vibe. I have been taken that since January and I have never felt better.
I highly recommend Cherie and the products that she represents. You can guarantee that she has done her homework and truly believes in them. I know I do."

Your body work on Sonada the past few years has enabled us to continue our dreams of doing endurance together! He's doing great and I hope to do our first 50 miler sometime in the next few months. Cherie does awesome work! Her intuitiveness and ability to pinpoint the problems that we were having was really amazing. She is by far the best equine therapist that I have used. Thanks so much!

"Chief was my husband's team-penning horse. They had been participating in the sport for a couple of years when, one night, Chief tried to buck my husband off every run they made. He had never done anything like this before, always loving his job. We had already been having Cherie Hecht adjust a couple of our show horses and knew that they performed better after being adjusted but the differences were subtle (although a subtle difference in the show pen can mean the difference between winning or not as we all know!). Anyway, we called Cherie out to adjust Chief and, even as she worked on him, you could see him relaxing. A couple of times he even made a huge sighing sound and dropped his head. Well, Steve and Chief went out team-penning again shortly after Chief's adjustment and they did great. Chief never offered to buck the whole night; he kept his ears up and enjoyed his job once again. Although we were already believers in Cherie and her method of adjusting the horses, this was the most dramatic change we had seen in any of them."

"I am the caretaker for a former professional jockey named Stacy Burton that suffered a traumatic brain injury in a horrific, head-on collision in a thoroughbred horse racing accident. I also became the caretaker for her 2 horses even though I had never cared for horses before myself. Three years into this endeavor, the 20 year old Arabian horse got his head stuck between a gate & fence. With the help of a friend, I was able to get "Butchie" out of this life threatening situation. Unfortunately, Butchie suffered severe nerve damage in his jaw & face. After several visits the vet said that he would probably not recover. To my benefit, I was given Cherie Hecht's phone number. Within 6 months, Butchie completely recovered. He has also dealt with numerous bouts of laminitis & severe arthritis. Cherie, once again, has made this horse healthy & strong with her innate ability and keen sense of horses. She is truly amazing and has done wonders for these horses, plus several other thoroughbred race horses of my friends. I feel very confident knowing that she is just a phone call away to a solution!"

Cherie has helped my horses to stay sound and healthy. She has also helped my horses recover from injuries and illnesses, such as broken bones broke bones and chemical toxicity. She is extremely knowledgeable about the wellness of a horse. She has recently helped me to revise a feed and supplement program that is chemical-free and balanced for my horses. My competition horses have never felt so great!
