Cherie Hecht is an experienced equine therapist with an affectionate passion for equines as can be seen in her life’s accomplishments. An avid competitor at the age of 12, Cherie started competing in three-day eventing and then moved on to show jumping and show hunters. She continued to compete successfully throughout her junior years on the west coast and Canada.

Cherie's love of competing with her equine sports companions continued even during the years she attended Southern Seminary College in the Equine Science program in Lexington, Virginia. While attending school Cherie continued to compete as an amateur on the East coast, and started treating horses.

During her early and mid 20’s Cherie traveled as far as Ireland, England, and Italy in order to receive some of the best training in the world of show jumping. In 1999 Cherie opened up her own riding barn in Arizona, USA. Cherie’s excellent understanding of the sports equine, as well as her personal competition experience, resulted in many of her students earning awards and year end zone championships in the southwest show circuit. Her last season of training finished with several of her students flying overseas to ride and compete in Europe before she closed her riding barn to pursue her dream of becoming an equine therapist.

Cherie was chosen for an Equine Chiropractic/Kinesiology/Acupressure apprenticeship from 1991 to 1993. She began treating horses in England and Ireland from 1998 to 2001, and continued to travel overseas between showing and teaching. She received her certification for Acuscope therapy in 2004 and became one of five certified instructors for Acuscope therapy in March of 2006.

She has treated horses for a broad range of ailments including ligament and tendon damage, muscle tears, as well as nerve damage.

Cherie has over 14 years experience in the equine wellness field, and has an extensive clientele who appreciate a skilled and experienced therapist. Her clientele ranges from coast to coast in the USA, and over seas to places such as England, Italy, Ireland, and other countries. Cherie has even had the privilege of treating the Duchess of Devon's show jumpers and Hunt horses.
